What: Understanding Power Quality and Power Reliability
When: March 15, 2004 8:00 AM

During the 2-hour program we learned how to identify power quality problems, assess the typical power quality disturbances and evaluate their impact on power infrastructure and key equipment. The seminar taught us the sources and causes of power quality problems, references and terms, and "PQ Rules." Specific focus on the impact of harmonics and DC applications were shared. The use of portable instruments for troubleshooting and diagnosing power quality events were compared with the capabilities of proactive, continuous power quality analysis systems. Case studies and customer examples were used throughout the program to demonstrate what was learned and bring home the points.
