What: BE Presents -10dB FM HD
When: August 19, 2008 6:30 PM

This month’s meeting featured Tim Bealor and John Bisset from Broadcast Electronics presenting a timely PowerPoint update on single hottest topic discussed at this year’s NAB show, the proposed -10dB vs. -20dB power increase for FM HD Radio.   This power increase is intended to make HD Radio a more resilient service, but may come at a significant boost in interference on the already crowded FM band and raises questions about equipment and tower solutions.  Tim also talked about BE’s new exciter and imbedded exporter technology as it relates to HD Radio and to single frequency networks.

The meeting was held at Radio Free Asia at 2025 M Street, NW Washington, DC; dinner at 6:30pm, meeting at 7:00pm.
