SBE Chapter 37's May meeting will feature Kumar Ramaswamy, President of igolgi Inc, giving a presentation on industry trends and how igolgi addresses those trends within their broadcast product line, including the iLux broadcast platform "station in a box" solution. The presentation will cover increasing channel count and video quality through the use of H.264 for ATSC1 (already deployed nationally at over 80 stations), centralized network operations center (NOC) advantages for groups with multiple stations, and integrated ad insertion.

Jeff Cooper and Dr. Kumar Ramaswamy started igolgi in 2008 after a long stint together at Thomson/RCA/Technicolor contributing to the evolution of Satellite and digital Terrestrial Television, DVD, cable modems and triple-play solutions. igolgi is a pioneer in software-based products executing efficiently on generic Intel/AMD and now GPU platforms. igolgi has also focused on the needs of the LPTV market with cost-effective, integrated solutions that are easy to manage and operate.
