Jay Tyler of Inrush Broadcast Services will discuss the industry’s shift from isolated broadcast systems to interconnected, standards-based environments, with a focus on the practical role of open standards such as AES67, NMOS, and SMPTE 2110 in building flexible and scalable infrastructures. Jay will discuss application-layer innovations and how these tools fit into next-generation broadcast workflows for connected facilities.
The presentation will also highlight emerging developments from organizations like the European Broadcasting Union(EBU) and Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), including newer frameworks such as DMF and evolving orchestration approaches.
Fresh off NAB Show 2026, Jay will also share key observations and technology trends from the show. This marks his first time attending NAB in over 29 years as an independent attendee — walking the floor, engaging with vendors, and evaluating new technologies without representing a booth — offering a unique and unbiased perspective on where the industry is heading.
A tour of the NPR facility will also be provided to those who are interested.
