Our annual picnic again was once again held at the picturesque WMAL Transmitter Site. We also held an election for future SBE Chapter 37 board members.

At the SBE Chapter 37 picnic, we met with broadcast engineering friends, spouses and families. We told a few "war stories" and dined on delicious food.

Again, many thanks to our sponsors Jim Peck of SCMS, Tom Bunk of Vertical Technology Services, and Brian Szewczyk of GatesAir for their support. Thanks also to Dave Sproul, Mike Benonis, and WMAL for helping to make arrangements and for hosting the picnic at the transmitter site again this year!

Jim Peck had the grill fired up about 12:00 pm and began serving hamburgers, hot-dogs, and chicken shortly thereafter.  The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all.  

SBE Chapter 37 members voted among candidates for four board positions.  The newly elected officials are:

• Brian Oliger, Vice-Chair
• Tom Shedlick, Treasurer
• Kim Sacks, Secretary
