Many members and friends of the SMPTE Washington DC Section - AES DC Section - SBE Chapter 37 all enjoyed an evening of great Food, Drink, and Conversation with industry colleagues.
Highlights of the evening included awards presented to Rick Singer for outstanding technical program coordination. Radio World presented their Excellence in Engineering award to our own Dave Kolesar, CBT, CBNT, and Senior Broadcast Engineer at the Washington, DC market Hubbard Radio, LLC radio stations. Dave was recognized for his efforts with all-digital AM broadcasting. See the photo below, the Radio World article, and a summary of his SBE Chapter 37 presentation.

SBE:
The Society of Broadcast Engineers is the professional organization of television and radio engineers and those in related fields. The SBE has more than 5,000 members in 115 chapters across the United States and in Hong Kong. There are also members in more than 30 other countries. Most chapters meet monthly and offer educational programs and an opportunity to network with other broadcast technical professionals. AES:
The Audio Engineering Society is the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology.
